About the Event

A delightful evening of jazz for your listening pleasure. Bruce Gallagher is joined by Gary Wittlich and Keegan Harshman for this performance of the jazz styles of bossa nova, blues and swing.

Bruce Gallagher leads Bluesette and is an accomplished performer on woodwind and brass instruments. A career music educator, conductor and show director and the featured tenor saxophone soloist with the Harry James Tribute Band, Bruce has performed on stage with artists ranging from the Mills Brothers to Kay Starr. He’s toured with Charlie Worsham and performed throughout the US with various groups and ensembles. He collaborates regularly with other ensembles and recorded frequently in 2020.

Gary Wittlich was on the faculty of the University of Indiana as a professor of music theory and has honed his piano skills through decades of performing at clubs and venues. His masterful grasp of jazz styles enables Bluesette to perform a wide range of jazz standards.

Keegan Harshman is the owner of Blue Sound Music in Langley and joins Bluesette for this performance on acoustic bass. An extraordinarily musician in his own right, Keegan performs and records with many different groups on Whidbey Island and elsewhere. He also has been a driving force in enriching the musical landscape on Whidbey through organizing festivals and participating in events.

This event is by reservation only and a portion of the $20 admission fee will go to Whidbey Island Nourishes (WIN).
