THE VINEYARD HOUSE
Our historic Farmhouse was originally built in 1943. Once built as a small one bedroom with a tiny bathroom, kitchen and small attic, these beginnings are a far cry from what it is today. The charming, beautifully renovated 70-year-old Vineyard House, complete with private courtyard, sits atop a gentle slope overlooking six private acres of rolling vineyards, apple orchard, pastures, and perennial gardens. The restored barn, winery, patios and loafing shed are just steps away along paths and past terraced landscaping.

Beyond are pastoral views and rows of Northwest red and white grape varietals that beckon you to stroll amongst the vines, over the manicured lawns, to linger in the gardens, relax by the fire pit, or share tomorrow’s plans with the neighborly deer and horses. Within walking distance of downtown Freeland and mere moments from local beaches, hiking trails, golfing, shops, galleries, restaurants, and the many attractions of beautiful Whidbey, the Vineyard House is the ideal location for a special guest, overnight get-away, family reunion, honeymoon or personal retreat.

The grounds and Farmhouse are Italian-inspired and wonderfully appointed with extensive attention to detail, function and beauty. The luxurious rustic elegance of the Vineyard House will make it the vacation home you talk about and return to for years and years to come. The gourmet kitchen, complete with “LaCornue” range will make even the most modest chef feel like a Michelin star recipient. Spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated living and family rooms, with propane fireplaces, provide warmth and places to gather or retreat in cozy ambiance. Other amenities include a claw-foot tub, the inviting wine cellar and tasting room, and two private bedrooms. The house sleeps up to 6 people.

Our Vineyard House is perfect for parties, getaways, romance or rejuvenation. During the extensive restoration process, we have appreciated the support from the local community who expressed how thrilled they were that this beloved property was once again regaining its radiance and usefulness. We’d love to host your stay.

Located on historic Newman Road, Dancing Fish Vineyards - named after the salmon that swim in and dance across our beautiful Island waters - is an easy walk to the Earth Sanctuary, Island Art Glass, Froggwell Gardens, the Friends of Freeland hiking trails and downtown Freeland; and is a short distance from the many centrally located restaurants, activities and events that Whidbey Island has to offer.
